Rapunzel NeedlePunch

I have a good friend who is a story teller. He came to my daughter's birthday party and told stories. One the the stories that he did was Falling For Rapunzel. I had made him a princess hat with a long braid to wear while he read the story. It was so much fun for my daughter.

He and his wife had a little girl named Avery this year so I punched them this Rapunzel needle punch. I hope he likes it. I really like the way it turned out.

Br'er Rabbit and Br'er Wolf needle punch

My mother carved this scene when I was growing up. She proudly hung it over the front door to remind us that we cannot run from our problems. I have always wanted one to hang in my house, but I do not have the carving skills that my mother has, so I needle punched it.

I varied the the length of my loops to create the texture of the trees, hobo bag, and Br'er rabbits cheeks and tail.

Now I just need to get it framed and on the wall.
